Animal Welfare

The animal’s wellness is rigorously respected. Throughout the raising, the birds are carefully manipulated to reduce the risk of injury. The coops’ cleanliness, the air and water quality as well as the birds’ comfort are monitored daily. The birds have sufficient space to wander freely within the barns without the stress associated with being over-crowded. The Ferme Aux Saveurs des Monts successfully meets the standard of the Programme de soins aux animaux (PSA) des Éleveurs de volailles du Québec (« Quebec Chicken Producers Animal Care Program »).  An external audit process validating the animal’s state of wellness.
